Program Requirements

​

The HBFD Fire Explorer Program is open to men and women ages 14-20 who have completed the 8th grade and are required to:

 ​​

• 19 years old or younger at the time of application

​

• Maintain a 2.0 GPA or above

​

• Adhere to HBFD grooming standards

​

• Complete a screening process and background check

​

• Applicant must successfully pass 3-month probationary period and oral interview

​

​
